Diversity, Inclusion & Equity
The face of Australia is changing. News wanted to make it clear to its people that it was embracing this change from within, not just to realise its growth potential, but to do the right thing. We were tasked with creating a campaign to communicate this to News staff, current and prospective. To prove diversity, inclusion and equity make us greater than good.
We started with a narrative.
We invited our people to share their stories, to contribute to the greater story of News by reassuring them everyone belongs, no matter what.
Up close, honest, storytelling, personal, raw and ernest.
We purposely chose extreme close up imagery of various subject matter. Beautifully shot, alluding to a story from our peers. It’s not about skin, colour, or age, it’s about getting up close and personal. Sometimes it’s unsettling and awkward. The awkwardness of being so close and raw is revealing and beautiful. A lot can be revealed. It’s not always obvious, but it's beautiful and tells just enough of the story that it wants to reveal. It’s about being open and vulnerable.
